Pollensa is another popular holiday resort in Majorca and the Pollensa Old Town is the heart of the city and located about 7 km. from Alcudia. The Pollensa Old Town is worth a visit and see and the beautiful town with its pretty streets and squares is beautiful. Holidaymakers may see several stone fountains, a charming parish church, the Roser Vell Oratory and the Baroque Monastery of Santo Domingo (St. Dominic’s) with its impressive cloister, 16th century retable and 18th century Valencian organ.

Pollensa Old Town lies at the foot of its calvari hill with its nice chapel and cypress-bordered stairway of 365 steps. The town’s main church is the cloister of St. Dominic’s (Santo Domingo) and serves as the venue for the Summer Music Festival.

Also to the north, there is a small yet well-preserved Roman bridge over the Torrente de Sant Jordi (St. George’s Torrent) that is an invaluable testimony to the Roman occupation in the 4th century.
